Writing Deal

Animation has long-since ceased being a back-water to the Main Event known as live-action. It's hugely successful on big theatre screens, successful in prime time television. So this isn't a surprise.

Comedy writer-producer Aaron Lee has signed an overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV where he has been under show deals for the past few years.

He is currently a co-executive producer on the studio’s Fox animated comedy series Family Guy. Prior to that, he was a supervising producer on 20th TV’s The New Normal on NBC and a supervising producer on the studio’s Family Guy spinoff The Cleveland Show.

Despite assertions by producers' spokespersons that animation writing is a lesser craft than, you know, the live-action variety, good writing is good writing.

This kind of points that out.
